I'm a bit confused. Did you build these models or someone else? I checked out your web page and am still confused (not that it takes much to confuse me).The models are awesome. Who is "Art instructor"? I've come across some of your posts from time to time and I would hope you could clarify this for me.

Thanks for the pictures, there sure are lot's. WOW.

He has a small group of guys that build for him. AI is the most well known of them. He has 1000's of completed models in his shop or wherever he keeps them.

Chazzer - Thanks for your interest. These are the works of "Art Instructor"(AI) - my main modeler:

Who's been building for me for over 10 years now. If you want to know how many kits he has built, you may try counting them from this menu:

http://www.falconbbs.com/modelcnt.htm

Apart from AI who builds most armors and dioramas, I also have "Toom" who is AI's big brother building mostly warships 1:350, "Niphon" who builds warships and warplanes, "Joh" and "pj" who build figures and vignettes, and "tazmanian" who builds just anything except dioramas. My purchase record has registered over 3,500 items - several hundreds of which are still unbuilt. I keep built kits in my bedroom, at the side and back of my house and in my "show room". You may visit this page to take a brief look at my collection. It's not up-to-date though, but it shows something extraordinary, unprecedent anywhere in the world:

These have been done quite well. I like the paint and subtle weathering.

MM - approximately how long does it take AI to start and finish one model (in hours at the workbench)? Surely building for you is his 9 to 5 grind and dedicates some 50+ hours a week to it. Does he have his own private collection/stash?

Thanks.

At the end of the day one's work may be completed but one's education never!

somenewguy - AI has a main job as an art teacher in a private school. Modelling is his side-line job, done in the evenings and holidays. For an armor with not much PE, I think he can finish in about 7-10 hours. For a dio it will take longer. He told me lately that if the assignments are all armors then they'll be finished sooner because he has built so many dioramas that it's hard to think of a scene or composition that he's never done before. It takes a lot more time thinking than doing. AI doesn't have his own collection, all his builds have come to me.
