If you google Sherman V (Brit designation for that version) you should find some good photos. While it was mainly a British used tank, some found their way to Chinese Nationals in the Far East.
I can't see why you want to find decals for the kit; the kit ones should be adequate. Additionally, chucking money into aftermarket items sort of negates the savings you imply you got when you bought the kit.
The box on the turret rear housed British style radios. If they are included in the kit, I don't know if they are. There is also a few aftermarket radio boxes; Verlinden does one and I think another is done in photoetch.
Try http://www.ultracast.ca for your decals and maybe some detail items. They have some really good WWII Commonwealth gear. AFV Club makes a passable set of T-49 track for M4A4's (which are longer than the other Shermans).

The kit comes with T-48 rubber chevron tracks. While not the most commonly seen on M4A4s, they certainly do appear in period photos. Whoever said they were incorrect is mistaken. As for detailing the hatches, the easiest thing to do would be to buy replacement resin ones from Tiger Model Designs. Super detailed, accurate and simple to use. Probably about $5-7 I guess.
As for the rear turret bin, contact me offsite. I can send you the pieces to one that I'm not using.

As for books, try loking for a few published by Concord- Shermans in British Service, British Tank Battles in Europ, I and II... Lots of great pics to make your own decisions with regarding tracks, stowage boxes/bins, markings, etc. For decals take a look at Accurate Armor, Bison Decals, and Formations.
