Smoke grenade launchers, 1/35
Posted by kg4kpg on Friday, August 5, 2011 1:34 PM

I need two of these bad boys and can't find resin copies anywhere.  Would anyone happen to have a couple in your spares box by chance?  I think they come in M1A1 kits but I don't want to buy a whole kit for two little parts.  Pictured part is from a DML kit.  I need them to finish an M93 Fox conversion.
Thanks, Chris

I do have an old Tamiya M1 as well as a Sgt York which might have these. Both were built and painted, but are now in the spares box. and i am not sure of the quality. But if you have no luck with anyone else, and i can get them off the kit, i would be happy to send them over. I can check tomorrow and let you know for deffinate.

Your best bet is to find someone who bought a later DML M1A1 or Tamiya M1A2 Abrams and built it as the Marine Corps version. The Marines use a different version so the Army style would be excess.

Those launchers come with all Abrams kits, some M60A1 kits, M48A5, M88A1, M60A3 and the old Tamiya British Chieftan kit (I think). Verlinden use to do an M48/M60 update kit that included those launchers.

They are not included with the Sgt. York though.

I managed to find a set, they were on the Sgt York. Not sure if that was my mistake or tamiyas. They are not highly detailed, they are the same as the Tamiya ones in the pic Tom posted. And they have been painted. But if you want them, send me your addy and they are yours. If nothing else you can keep them as a stand by.
