Welcome back to the hobby. Nice halftrack there. I would suggest learning the dot filter treatment to add some variations to the monotone paint job. Just take some oil paints, dab little bits up and down the sides and clean off with a brush in a north/south direction with thinner or mineral spirits. Of course this works over an acrylic paint, so as not to fubar it.
