The DML kit you selected is fantastic. I chose the flakpanzer for the same reason(looking for interesting subject). The kit builds up with no problems.

Here is my kugelblitz, I hope you have as much fun with yours :)

As far as your other post, go for the kit # 6040 its "new tooled". That is the one I built. Good luck, have fun :)

Ok, guys.

Have decided about 90% on the item I am after, it will be a model of the Flakpanzer iV Kugeblitz(provided my LHS has got one in stock). :D

I see that Dragon has 2 version of the thing out:
DRA6040 1/35 Flakpanzer IV Kugelblitz Yen 3.300
DRA6136 1/35 3cm Flakpanzer IV Kugelblitz Yen 3.000

Pricewise there is only a 300yen difference, what are the differences between the Kits?
I would assume that the Eduard kit will be valid for both(provided I can get it here)?

Also any reviews about those kits would be appreciated, if available and handy.

Thanks in advance.

The new nashorn issues are supposed to be much better. The early version comes with brass shells as a bonus. The pictures I've seen of the gun are remarkable. The detail they put in is fantastic. But there are some errors in the instructions. Check out the reviews at:

http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/

They list the errors in the instructions.

If you want a really different build and don't mind the fiddley, check out the Kettenkradrad with Pupchen. There is a review (I think on Missing Links) on it. The individual track links are T I N Y !!! I've heard they are coming out with a new kit of the Kettenkrad. I think it's the same basic kit, but pulling something different than the Pupchen.

Their Elefant is really nice, too. There are a couple of pe kits out for it and two or three am track sets. DML's indy links for this kit have NO ejector pin marks on the links. Unfortunately, they molded the cleats wrong. If you go with this kit and do AM tracks, be careful you don't get Ferdinand tracks. Sometimes they are listed as Elefant/Ferdinand tracks and they are different. They don't have cleats on the treads.

I'm building their new Firefly kit for the Sherman Family build. It seems to be a nice kit.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

I think there is only one or two dragon kits I'd stay away from the rest are great. The Panther II has some crappy details (old Italeri molds) and the Nashor is just really wrong. Other wise I love'em and buy them by the truckload when I can... If you can get the Shanghi Dragon kits they are the same thing but at about half the cost. I don't think you'll be disappointed at any rate...

MadModelFactory, you can't get much weirder than the E-100 which has just been reissued. I don't know a thing about it though. I have the New Panther A and it looks pretty nice with color instructions no less.

Rob.

Thanks, didn't know that they all came with individual tracks.

Really no preferences like with the other genres I dabble here and there but tend to prefer unusual and strange subjects.

Guess will have to visit the LHS and see what they got on the shelf and what says "Take me home" to me.

All of the Dragon 1/35 scale tank kits come with individual tracks. The main question is, what genre floats your boat. They have great Shermans, nice Pershing/Patton series, outstanding German armor, very good Abrams kits, some decent modern Soviet armor.

T-34 Model 1940 is their latest and is getting good reviews.

Dragon help needed!

Hi All.

One quick question.

I have never build a 1/35 Scale Dragon Kit, which one would you recommend as a good well detailed Kit? I prefer individual track links too, not too worried about small and fiddly bits either.

No preference as to era or origin of the model depicted.
