Manny,

Aren't you going to build a diorama with all of the seven vehicles used for spare parts, plus a couple others coming in and getting worked on?   Or you could build an exact replica of every actual vehicle in use.  Big Smile

You can now get this bad boy at HobbyBuy.com for US $43.99.  I've bought from HB before and they did well by me, for what it's worth.

While I must admit to having the hots for this (pant pant pant, and I am gonna put my nice, still-wrapped Alan kit on the block...), I'm actually fairly confident that these will be around for a bit. Dragon will sell a bunch of them (whole division's worth of something done in a dozen...!), but the heat will eventually drop off and so will the price.

So I HOPE, anyway! Bow Down So I'm going to hold off a bit.  I bet She-in or Dogdogcom or another Chinese eBay vendor will soon be hawking these for ca US $45 shipped to the USA... just like that new Dragon Pz. IV J last Production kit with those cool schurzen...  going for 50 - 59 plus around 10 S/H here in the USA, and available from above shipped to your US door for 47...Whistling

Can't wait to see one get built and posted!

Tony, this kit will probably seem like a walk in the park, compared to what you've been doing.

I got this ALAN kit six weeks ago for $20 and I plan to upgrade the gun. I don't know how it is now but then I thought it was on a par in difficulty with Dragon. My first DML back in '01 was a real ***.

Joe

It's not about how fast you get there or even where you're going. It's whether you enjoy the ride.

Kenneth,

It's not a white box release so I'm not worried about the price inflating...I'll just wait for a handy sale to come along that will put the price at an affordable range (for me) with one of the various online retailers or DragonUSA and then pick one up to add to the stash for a future build. That may mean that I have to wait 6 months or more but in my experience that's been the best strategy for kits that I don't have to have "right now" or aren't white box one-run-only production efforts. Bill, If you're waiting until the price comes down you may never get one.. In fact, you might ought to buy them while they're cheap... :)

Tony, Nice build!

I have one on order with the LHS because I like the looks of it. I need to drag out my Osprey DAK book for some photos I guess.

Don't you dare, I get the FIRST one.Big Smile

Heck they had so much trouble with them, seven were kept for spare parts to keep the others running. They don't even have records that show they made it into battle.

The interior of the Dragon kit is all guess work because there are no know pictures to refer to. It looks to be a pretty good guess though.

I work on this Allan kit from time to time.

Anybody reach for that first one will draw back a nub.Wink

I built the Alan kit a few years ago.  Not really a bad kit, it fact it went together pretty well and certainly looks the part, even had a small PE fret in the kit.  I'll still get this kit.  I love the way Dragon does their kits.  Very, very, very cool.
