E10 in modulation
Posted by Bodge on Sunday, September 4, 2011 4:02 PM

Hi guys, sorry for my absence of late but i have been away and then we have been without the internet for weeks. One thing good about not being online means i have actually done some modeling.

This one i started last year, I added anti aircraft screens which i doubled up as small arms shields and added wintertracks and widened brackets for side skirts. I chose to put on three skirts instead of four as i prefered the look.I have painted this in the AK Modulation set  and finnished with washes and pigments. I really enjoyed painting this and thats what it should be all about ,Having fun.

You've created a visually stunning piece of work here Andy...and good to see you back on the forums again as well! Beer The added shields on the rear remind of drag flaps for some reason, can't really say why, but definitely add to the visual distinctiveness.

Love your latest project Andy. It's very appealing even in the monotone color. You're one of the top-notched weather builders and this project shows that.

Thanks a lot guys again.

Modelbuider AK modulation is a set of paints from the AK range that alows you to paint the model starting very dark in the shadows and working lighter and lighter to give you the effect of dark shadows and very light highlights. A bit like an oil painting.Big Smile
