                        I've just started dryfitting the gun when I discovered that it will NOT be moveable sideways !

                        This is some kind of disappointing because it is not my first gun but definitely my first one only moveable up and down.

                        It seems to be a nice kit so far , as I wrote above I have not glued anything yet.

                        I've replaced the plastic barrel using the new RB Model #35B120 consisting of a aluminum barrel with a brass muzzle brake.

                        In addition to that I've bought a ammo set from Hussar Productions #35010 which has two different types of HE projectiles , the OF-530 and OF-540 with decals.

                        Now I have to find out how to make the whole thing moveable because the axle is in the way. I was thinking to use a compatible small bolt but the axle ... Confused

                        The picture shows the two pins from the gun assembly which belong in the gun carriage.

                        Has anybody build this gun yet , solving this problem ?

                        I will use the gun as a Wehrmacht 15,2cm KH.433/1(r) and not as a Soviet one. They were captured and used in great numbers by the Germans , they even produced their own ammunitionNice ammo set with decals !.

                        Why does it have to be movable?  I don't see the point in leaving it movabe.  Why not just cut off the forward pin and use the rear one as a pivot point.  Set the angle you want and glue it in place.

                        That's not why. I always try to build my stuff as close as possible to the real thing , that is reason why !

                         I just think that it makes no sense to build anything precisely to scale , we all know how we measure ten times or more to get everything right , and then just leave movable parts "welded together" ?

                        I'm not building toys I just try to build an exact replica of the real existing thing !

                        I hope you guys understand this answer right , I'm not trying to piss anyone off !  Wink

                        Too bad it does not traverse and only elevates. Would have expected it to since Trum does make some very nice kits. I love the AM barrel. Might have to try and find a couple of barrels for future projects.

                        IMHO movable parts have nothing to do with final accuracy. If you're not moving it why does it need to be moved. I like to think of models as frozen snapshots in time, and moving parts take away from that. Just my 2 cents

                        The idea of a snapshot is all right .Yes

                         I was just disappointed because it's usual that plastic guns (yes not resin) have at least different angles and I can choose the position as the modeller .

                        But the rest of the gun is well done as far as I can tell in my progress ...
