Not sure how your getting in  with this but I've just returned from a model show where the one from AFV magazine was on display. I took a few pictures to give you some ideas I hope

There's an odds and ends store downtown that has a 1/16 Konigstiger built and painted on display near the front door.  I don't know what make it is (Tamiya, Trumpy, etc) but it has enough sink marks and ejector pin marks that it looked like a refugee from a Lego convention.   Hope that yours doesn't need five tubes of putty to make it right.  Looking forward to build pics.

Sorry, I was being needlessly trival.  Must be SERIOUS at all times.

Looks like a wonderful opportunity to produce something really impressive.  I'm sure I speak for all of us, in that we hope you'll post an avalanche of WIP photos.  Just how big is this potential door stop?

anthony, sure hoping it turns out as well it should.

Mike, .308 ammo havn't had a rifle since the Australian government went nuts with gun control laws after Port Arthur, so I have stick to my bow. On the upside the ammo is usually reusable.

Eric, Yes I will be doing the Henschel turret as I have a Tamiya 1/35 Porsche KT and I prefer the non zimmerit look (but I prefer the Porsche turret look lol)

Boy, that should be a beast. Since it's a Henschel turret, you can avoid zimmerit if you choose.

Wow!  That could buy a lot of .308 ammunition. Huh?

Hard to explain to the lovely bride.  That's about the cost of my latest home repair project.

Konigwolf13

Thanks for the tip Phil, will check it out.

In doing some research for the kit I discovered there's a website devoted to detailing this beast, I admit maybe not a huge site but its there and often linked to.

What is the website?  I've got the same kit and would be greatful to have some guidance in building it.  Thanks !!

1/16?!?!? Wow, I really don't build armour, but that would be a blast. You could dress up a little hamster as the tank commander! (sorry, it just sounded like there was far too little silliness in here over the weekend!) Post pics when you get to it!

That will be a monster when its finished. Have a look at AFV Modeler if you can as they have been building the same one for a while now

Well fathers day a couple of weeks ago down here and Oz and I had been eyeing off a kit in the front window of my LHS for some time, well I must of done something right because some how it transported itself to stash care of my rugrats.

Trumpeter's 1/16 KT with detailed interior.

I didn't expect something priced at $229x1.5 but I didn't complain to much (read at all). I just need to clear most of my current builds before I can start.
