Dragon has announced the release of a new LVT in October, a new mold 1/72 LVT-4. It appears to be a direct replacement for the antiquated 1/76 AirFix LVT-4, including a jeep to boot. If their molding practice copies that of their LVT-A1 and LVT-A4 my little AirFix kit is off to the scrap pile. Aside from that I foresee my stash growing in the near future.

Hopefully a rendering of the LVT-A2 is in the works and maybe, just maybe Dragon may be the first to offer an LVT-3 and move into the second generation LVTP5 and LVTH6 variants.
WIP:Trying to get my hobby stuff sorted - just moved and still unpacking.

Sounds like my Airfix kit is headed the same way...
LVTP-5 - that would really be something! Sounds too good to be true... Dream on and have a nice day

Looking forward to it too. My LHS put it on the pre-order list before I even knew it. He was rightfully confident that I would want one. I am currently building/converting the (a)4 into an (a)5 for the KW GB, and it is a very nice kit. A -3 or a 3C would be wonderful too.
Cheers,
Greg

That sounds awesome, be sure to post pics of the build. I have a similar goal and plan on kit-bashing an LVT-A4 and LVT-4 to make a proper LVT-A5 Modified. I have three LVT-A4s on the bench and in the works at the moment representing WWII and post-war stateside training.
