Sherman Camo question
Posted by kaleu on Thursday, January 29, 2004 9:40 PM
I have a question about the painting instructions in the Tamiya M4 kit (early production). The instructions have two camo schemes that I am not certain are correct. The first is light sand/olive drab for a vehicle in Italy. The second pattern is red brown/olive drab for Normandy. Are these correct? I would like to use the Italy scheme if it is correct.

You're good to go with either of these combinations Erik.

You've got a Shermie on the go .... how come you're not in the Group Build?

Thanks for the help, Robert. I haven't started the kit yet, I was thinking of building after I finish the T-55 Enigma and 2s1 are finished. I still have to paint the 2s1 and just started building the Enigma. I'm hoping to pick up some Formations stuff to build the British 8th Army Sherman as well.

Speaking of British 8th Army Shermans, White Ensign will be doing more paints for British Armour. Hopefully they will release even more British armour colors. It's so strange that there is so little on 8th Army stuff these days. There's so many interesting subjects to do with interesting camo like the 8th Army Shermans.
