And...the winner is the Tamiya BT-7 with roughly a quarter of the vote.

Second is the Panzer IV-J Last Production.

Coming in third, Dragon's Firefly Ic Hybrid.

Again...super interesting to see what comes out on top! Last time out, the BT-7 fizzled, and I was sure the Tasca Sherms would put in a better showing than they did. Go figure!

The BT-7 starts tonight (look in the Ostfront II GB)!

Considering that the move is in less than three weeks, I think I'm actually going to swap the Pz.IV and the Firefly. I bet I can get the BT and a good bit of the Firefly knocked out before the move, then play with the Panzer IV while I'm trying to get the bench fully operational.

Thanks for all the votes!

Dang, if I hadn't already voted I'd go put one in for the composite hull M4 just for pity's sake. Boo Hoo

I'm probably going to wrap up the poll tomorrow morning. As of just now, the BT-7's in the lead, with the Panzer IV-J and Firefly Ic chasing.

The M4 Composite still has one saddest little vote.

I also find it amusing that, my last armor poll back in February or so, the BT-7 came in near the back of the pack and it was all about the AFV Club Achilles vs. the Dragon Panzer IV-G.

Since you live in Austin, I tried to be a good little liberal and stuff the ballot box.  Your blog site is smarter than I am though.  It only allows one voter per customer!

I looks the sweet little kit. Only thing I don't like are the link-and-lengths. But that's what friuls are for...

Well I voted for the BT-7, that one has piqued my interest since the first write up I saw on it. It is on my own "must have" list. Yes

The horse race, as of this morning.

For the first time, the BT-7 shares the lead.

And mourn for the poor, unwanted M4 Composite Hull...

Yes, the Sherman vote may very well have been split!

Still they're all nice kits, not a dog in the lot.

LOL!

Yeah, I tend to be pretty discerning when it comes to my armor purchases...

I think maybe you've spilt the Sherman vote! I'm behind the BT-7.

Y'know, until Comrade Commissar Somethingorotheravich pushes me out in front to absorb lead on behalf of the Motherland!

Sigh- was I the only one who decided to vote big and go for the M4 JUMBO?

Nope - it's got 4. Honestly not doing as well as I figured - would have thought the Tascas would be pounding the Dragon Shermans...

But still several days to go. I'm only 24 friuls into the T-34 and still have a lot of fiddly bits to deal with.

It's always fascinating to see what leaps out front early. It's never the kit I'd expect...

Doogs, I must confess to being one of the BT backers. Why? Tamiya for ease of assembly, and Soviet, for for ease of paintingWink

No;  Grasshopper.

Has Vance never told you that every box has a model in it and it is the task of the modeler to discover it?

BTW....DoogsATX:

very nice idea having a vote.

I voted for the Brummbar. Always liked the mean look of it. Yours already comes with the zimmerit too! The BT-7 would be a close #2.

The Tank Binge Continues...
Posted by DoogsATX on Thursday, October 6, 2011 12:50 AM

Since the bench is packed away for the move and probably won't be fully operational again until Thanksgiving, I've just been building tanks up to the painting stage and moving on. I'm getting close to knocking out #4 (Dragon T-34/85) and now I'm scratching my head at what to build next.

So I figured I'd do what I've done in times past, and toss up a poll.

If y'all would be so kind, I'd love if you'd take a minute to cast a few votes (I opened it up to multiple choice - up to three). The times I've done this in the past, it's been...interesting!

http://doogsmodels.com/2011/10/06/lets-finish-out-tank-time/

Whatever gets pulled out and built will end up somewhere here as either a WIP thread or in a group build.

Thanks!
