return rollers on a Jagdpanzer IV
Posted by dogzilla17 on Friday, October 14, 2011 3:24 PM

Hello --I'm  currently working on the running gear and have read some Panzer IV variants had cast steel (no rubber) return rollers -- I'd welcome any input as to if this vehicle had rubber coated return rollers -

Thanks

I believe it could have either, but most of the photos I've seen of L70's have 3 steel return rollers.

The kit you have features only 3 return rollers and by that point in time in the Pz IV production timespan they were all steel, no rubber rims in use. HTH! Beer

I was going to say the Early version may well have had rubber, but pictures appear to indicate the opposite.

Thanks a bunch guys! -- Just used the 'circle template' method to paint the roadwheels and worked like a charm! -  Still deciding on the unit / paint scheme - Hey Tojo , can you post a pic of your whitewashed JgPz?

Best Regards,

Dog
