Here are the local, i.e., FSM, guys at Granitecon in Nahua, NH  yesterday. Besides some excellent deals at the vendors (Dragon SdkFz 251/1 riveted with Fruilmodel tracks=$10) the three of us, myself, Steve Martein and Marc Dupuy took home a boatload of awards. Marc took 3rd for a 1/48 C-47,

OOB for an F-20 Tigershark,

a 1st for a 1/35 Sturminfantrigeschutz SiG 33,

2nd for his Karl Morser Gerat,

1st for a Soviet tank colection

and 1st for a Lince armored car.

Steve got a 1st for his T50 Light Tank

and I got a 1st for my 1st Royal Fusilier bust.

Wow, Al, I love it! You're going to have to come to every show with me from now on to take pics (wait...don't you already? Just need to add Downeastcon, I think)! All of the captions were spot on. 3x 1sts, a 2nd, a 3rd, and a best OOB. Really wish I had finished some modern armor in time - think I could have done well if my Scimitar was show-ready.

Vendor deals were ridiculous this year - I'm already kicking myself that I didn't take a (second) trip to the ATM to hoover up some more kits/AM. Your 251 w/Friuls for 10 bucks takes the cake, though. Man. Took a pic of my loot for Boyd, will post it up here in a bit along with some trophy action.

Need to get more northeasters to head to NH for that show...it's a good one!

So here you go:

Best deal was either the Italeri M110A2...for ten bucks (build? Or Ebay for $90?) or the Trumpy Hind for $50. Ohhhhh yeah, good chance that'll get built this winter!

Another fantastic FSM showing.  Can't believe the mag has not picked up on the hual FSM'ers make at all the contest and use that as a selling point

Congrats to the winners and good to see Steve is on this side of the grass.

Steve?  You out there?  Ever build that Catalina?

Wow if I knew they were going for that much I would have sold mine instead of building it. I guess I need to go through my stash for some old armor stuff and see what they are going for.

"Club coffers"? Riiiiight...last time I checked, the club had 3 dollars. Which is now no dollars, because Mia just bought a 3 dollar frame for our IPMS chapter certificate. Roland's job is too easy.
