It's Soviet / Russian.  BRDM stands for "Boyevahya Razvedyvatelnahya Dozornahya Maschina" (Combat Recon and Patrol Vehicle) if I remember my Russian correctly.  It's been over 20 years.  Drinks  They sold their stuff to all their Warsaw Pact allies and anyone else who'd buy it.

finished this yesterday for monthly club contest. it was a fun build except for getting the 5 missle tubes aligned in XYZ. as always learned a bunch. this is my third wheeled vehicle. i switched from tamiya acrylic to model master acrylic so had to make adjustments with air brushing. i primed it in light grey primer. typically i had to fix some runs and repaint but that went well. looked at it today andi added more dust around the bottom and subdued a bit of "rust" in the wheel wells. i have a tendency to overdo powders, especially when i can't weather outside in sunlight so this is a positive development. the reds in the pic just jump out in photos.

i think next build is 8X8 DANA SP for january red menace contest. also have a canadian 6X6 COUGAR for july cat's meow and canadian 8X8 LAV-III for june big wheel theme. even the 4x4's are big compared with early ww2 tanks.
