Looking absolutely great   Now you have convinced me to go out and get one of these.  Will be borrowing your asbestos wrap technique for sure.  Have saved your WIP for a build references.  As always, look forward to seeing more of your progress.

You're right it's not done yet but a lot closer than it was.

OK Bill I saw this picture in my SU-76 book:

We had a roll of that paper bandage tape in the medicine chest so I cut some 1/8 to 3/16th wide strips and half wrapped it around the pipes then I wrapped that with some really fine copper wire.

As you can see it replicates the real thing pretty well.

Oooooh very nice Tony! Eye-catching in many ways...especially the asbestos tape on the exhausts. You can't get away without sharing the details on how you did that one.

Looking real good!  Love the tarp especially the straps.  Mufflers too!  Oh, the wheels too!  Heck, I love everything about it...

I'm digging this build...I like a build that has different media involved and shows the differeing colors of the putty, materials, primer, etc...means some work has gone into it.  In fact, I'd probably not paint a model like this...

Now that would be something different!
