'WWII British Armour GB' Feeler:
Posted by Hinksy on Saturday, December 10, 2011 6:57 AM

Hi guys,

I do love my GB's having now taken part in a few and would like to start one myself in the new year.

After my Tiger I is complete I'll be hitting the stash and all that's in there now is the beautiful Bronco Comet with the Accurate Armour Resin full uprade set and my prized kit which was given to me last year, the Dragon IC Hybrid Firefly.

I'll definately be building one, if not both as all I've assembled this year has been Russian and German. I want some more British stuff in my my display case!

I haven't seen a dedicated 'British Armour GB' (I may be wrong though) so let me know and if the feedback is positive I'll sort something to start within the first few months of 2012.

Thanks chaps and all the best,

Ben Toast

If by British you also mean Commonwealth, then yes, I'm in pending dates.

Ben, I too would be interested, have a Comet, a Firefly, and several other subjects that would fit. Biggest problem would be narrowing it down to one model. Hmm

Hi guys,

I'm really pleased you chaps have shown some keen interest in this GB idea.

First off when I get it started I'll be calling 'WWII British & Commonwealth Armour GB' (sorry about the oversight there. Crossovers will be fine - it's all fun!

Having never hosted a GB before I'll need to get some ideas together i.e. rules, a start date, qualifying armour, time the GB runs for and, of course, a decent badge (I may need help with that)!

As you all know I'm currently tackling this Initial Tiger I of mine which is really coming on splendidly and assembly is nigh on complete - now comes paint, weathering and a small base with figure so I'm probably 50% there. I hope to have this finished by February in 2012 - then I'll be looking at starting the GB and will definately be building the Dragon Hybrid IC Firefly as I've had it since last Christmas but have never had the time to expend the time and attention on the kit that it warants. It's a beauty. The Comet looks like great fun but I think I may find that a short build so who knows, I may even build the Comet too.

If anyone else thinks they'll be interested in this GB in a few months time (say Feb or March most probably) then please, let me know. I think it will nice to have a GB with some interesting Brit Armour instead of the usual German stuff which I'm used to!

Thanks guys,

Take care and have an enjoyable week!

I'm still waiting to pickup one of the new Valentines. If I can get one and there is time left, I might hop in on this one.

Ben,

Feb or March sound good to me. I still need to finish a Char B1 for Tigerman.

Great stuff chaps,

Everyone seems happy for a Feb-April start so that should be it. Watch this space, I'll watch this post and see if any others are interested and I'll probably mention something on the GB forum as a heads up. I'm sure Andy Deafpanzer will be interested too.

Keep any useful ideas coming my way as I'm totally new to hosting GB's!

All the best,

Ben Toast
