Anyone know the status of MMiR magazine?
Posted by adb2323 on Saturday, December 10, 2011 8:45 AM

I have a subscription but haven't seen an issue since issue 53. Emailed them, but haven't gotten a response. Issue 53 suggested that they have been having financial problems. Does anyone here at this forum know their status? It's a great mag and would hate to see it fail (plus would like to get the remainder of my subscription...)

Thanks,

Al B.

They never have been good with sticking on a consistant publication date, although when they do publish they have the best ARMOR rag on the market, IMO...I haven't seen a new issue from them in eons...

I hope they don't go the way of MMP (Military Model Preview).  That was a great magazine too.  Only lasted 3(?) years.  Started out as Military Aircraft Preview.

A while ago I was considering getting a subscription too. Then was informed of basically what was already mentioned above.

Now I only purchase the ones I see in person at hobby shops, book stores and shows.

The last issue I saw and bought was no. 52

I buy when I see it. The publication rate is too sporadic to subscribe in my opinion. Besides, you can purchase back issues from them directly if you miss an issue. I don't "need" to have a copy as soon as it comes out because the information it contains (on new products) is already months old before it hits print.

I gave up on my subscription to them years ago.  I only buy it when I see it on the rack.

Due to their high cost, I'm pretty selective with them. Every now and then I can score a good price on ebay.
