Spruebrothers sale
Posted by tigerman on Thursday, December 22, 2011 5:50 PM

Spruebrothers is having a pretty darn good sale with lots of goodies at 50% or better. I really don't need anything, but that T-34 keeps staring at me.

Lots of bargains. I would have liked to have seen something besides Dragon and Cyber Hobby though.

They must have a great relationship with Dragon and their suppliers, for they have Dragon deals at 50% off quite frequently. You just never know what they're going to run.

Yeah.....I've got their sale list printed out and highlighted just in case my rich uncle ever got out of the poor house and sent me a Christmas check......

Eric-go for the T34...you've done the French thing (and quite well, I might add)...get the T34 and you can organize an Eastern Front GB!

Between Sprue Bros. and Dragon USA's sales announcements, I've been so tempted to place an order.

Sprue Brothers does a lot of wholesale/bulk buying for DML stuff...so they use that leverage to their advantage for sales like this.

Their customer service is great as well...they worked with me constantly over the last month to resolve an issue with UPS delivering my coveted Bison II (ordered as part of their Black Friday sale) to the wrong address. Finally got it yesterday and since it was an Xmas present, the timing worked out as well.

That same kit is now on sale for $30 as part of their current sale, a pretty good deal on a fairly new release item IMHO.

Rob Gronovius

That's another one Rob. I picked up that Cyber Hobby Panther F Smart Kit for like $23 on one of their recent sales.

Yeah Bob, I have zero Russian armor in the stash and the T-34 would be a no brainer. I was going to hold out for a 1943 version, but this does have the newer turret that was a feature of those versions.

They both hooked me.   First  Dragons' online sale, and then SB last week.  Between the two of them I added about 15 new kits.  I didn't do Squadrons, as it happened during my Dragon purchase, and I didn't want to go too far overboard.  Such restraint.  I tell you, I'm like a monk sometimes in my denial.

Somebody want to grab that monkey.

Wow, that's a few bucks dropped on that purchase.

Eric-nice thing about the kit that you are looking at is that you can build the German 'Das Reich' Kursk version if you can't shake your German armor habit....

Bob, already did a Kursk GB. I would have to think of something else.

Yeah.

S-B already nicked me for that new Dragon s.IG 33 auf Pz II and the Dragon Befehlsjager 38(t) M!  Sadly this was somehow before I noticed that all that other stuff was up on the XMAS sale... I got the sale prices on my items and the stuff arrived super-fast Big Smile - and then I went back to G-K's site and saw the rest of the sale listing!  Argh!  I dallied around for a couple of days dithering with this being XMAS and all, finally decided to jump in and order a couple more kits (I think I found a space under my second desk for them...) ...  I so wanted to get one of those Dragon Pz.IV J last production and the RSO-3 w/ PaK 38... but they are GONE!  Figures, what with the super prices!  Guess I'll have to wait!Stick out tongue

Squadron has some good sale prices in their December Flyer but I waited too long deciding on the Trumpeter 1/200 Arizona which was going for $129 and it was sold out   Bang Head...who ever got my Arizona, I hope you're having a great time building her!  So I went ahead and got the Trumpeter 1/32 A-4E and the ME-109E. Than today I ordered the Czech Model 1/32 T-33 for $24.99, I just could not pass up that price.

I hope everyone here and your families have a safe and very Merry Christmas and that Santa got you the kits and accessories you wanted under the tree. Happy Modeling and all the best in the New Year.
