Here is a Sherman I created from a pair of kits found at a garage sale. The had enough parts to pretty much complete one tank, and the neat part was there was engine detail to boot, no aftermarket parts here.

The basic kit I believe was an old ESCI cast hull. I used putty to make it look like a composite, giving the rear the look of welded pate. Added the additional armor and marked it like a tank used by the marines in the pacific. You have no idea how hard it was making the brush guards for the scopes on the hatches. Somewhat easier was the blade sight.

All the markings were hand painted.
