I appreciate the comments Cliff... thanks. I try to add a figure where and when I can for the total perspective, strongly believing that it helps with the entire presentation. I had this Hornet Staff Sergeant in white metal and figured that he'd fit the bill perfectly. The manual that he is holding is actually a scaled down Drill Manual (front and back covers glued to paper 'pages') for this weapon, dated 1943 that I also have in my collection.

Thanks again!

Thanks,
Kevin Keefe

Kevin:

Great job there, I have to agree on loving the detail and the labels on the shells. And the figure is a nice touch too, love seeing a figure to indicate just how big/small the vehicle/weapon is.

Thanks for checkin' in Rob. Doing ok up here, just trying to scratch out a living with multiple jobs and not much time for anything else. Hope that all is well with you in your retirement.

I would do an insurgent team if I could find Soviet/Russian/Chinese 60-81mm mortars but until some are available in scale, this is about as far as I can go. :-) (Under the Fantasy Mounts section.)

Thanks,
Kevin Keefe

Looks great as usual Kevin. How are things up in Mass?

Have you thought about doing an insurgent or Taliban mortar team? Wonder how that would look with their mix and match gear and such.

Thanks guys! Appreciate the comments as I struggle with the hobby. Good kit and this one felt pretty good. I was happy with the new camera setup too and that helped a lot with the final product. Do tell all of your wimmin friends. :-)

Nothing special planned for #50. Couple in progess but whatever 'turns me on' will be next. RL is in the way.

Mike, you're a good friend. Thanks buddy! I don't know about the 'master' bit but, I hope that your website is and will continue to be as fun as mine has been over the years. You were instrumental in getting me to improve on my photography. Someday we'll meet.

Thanks again guys!

Thanks,
Kevin Keefe

Kevin - Totally stunning. Besides the outstanding ammunition, the base and the figure are beyond reproach. I am speechless.

Congrats on the website milestone. As an example I tried to emulate in creating my site, I am thrilled to hear the master is going to hit a million. A toast Drinks to Mortars in Miniature.

It looks great.  Good job on all of it.  I especially like the markings on the shells.

Been having difficulties finding the time for this hobby lately but have managed to complete this mortar. It is the Accurate Armour kit in 1/35th scale with Hornet figure and is mortar #49 in my collection.

You can read all about it here.

Other updates as well here.

Approaching 1 million page loads and I'd like to publically thank all for the continued support! And as always, if you have a mortar, mortar info or personal experience with mortars that you would like to contribute to 'the cause', please feel free to contact me at anytime.

I ain't perfect and will never claim to be but having fun with the hobby.

Enjoy.

Thanks,
Kevin Keefe
