Armor used by the U.N.?
Posted by MartianGundamModeler on Monday, February 2, 2004 8:58 PM
I have seen the U.N. use APC's like the LAV and M-113 and vehicles like the hummer [though not in action], land Rovers, and various civilian vehicles. What othe armor, esp tanks, has the un unsed in the white paint scheme?

That's a good question. I don't think I have ever seen a tank in U.N. white. I have only seen support vehicles or IFV's in white. I could be wrong, but that has been my experience when I download pictures or buy reference material.

Same here. In fact i had never seen a U.N. hummer until I stumble up some pice of some on back of a truck. Never seen or heaard of them in action though. The reason I ask this is that I am making a Bradley in U.N. colors. I also have picked up an Abrams with mine rakes [dirt cheap from Hobby craft, heard this one of thier few good kits]. Since one of the U.N. duties is mine clearing in many third-world countries, figured that this might make a good fictional tank. My dad [retired U.S. Army], says he beleive they may have had some M-60's during a conflict in the '70's [or was it the '80's] but they may have been green with painted on UN lettering.
I'm alos working on a fictional U.N. long range desert hummer.
