Looking for pictures of a particular Panzer 35(t) build?
Posted by Njal Thorgeirsson on Sunday, January 15, 2012 1:32 PM

Hello all, I've been away from FSM for a while becuase my modelling has definitely been slow in the last year. Anyways, I'm getting ready to finish and weather a Tamiya (marketing scam that is actually the mediocre CMK kit) Panzer 35(t) and I recalled seeing a couple pictures of a Panzer 35(t) build from another FSM user. It was in a small diorama with two figures I believe. I've done just about everything to locate said pictures but I just can't seem to find it. Any ideas?

Thanks! And I'll post pics of the finished build in the next day or two Smile

Hmmm, doesn't seem anyone has a clue Nja, including myselfl.  I vaguely remember something matching your description, but that's it.  Do you have any more info to work on?  How long ago was it?  Which forum?  What it from a group build?

It was either here in the armor forum or over at armorama- most likely the former. It was somewhat recent- in the last year I believe. The tank seemed to have a somewhat-dark paint job, but the model was very well-done. It had a nazi flag draped over the engine deck. I really just wanted to use it as a paining and weathering reference for a little inspiration... If it doesn't come to mind then don't worry about it- no big deal.

Thanks again!

Hi Njal,

One build that comes to mind is this this thread by Eric Bergerud.

Very nice article but I am not sure this is the one you are looking for?

Very Best Regards

wBill76 did one a few years back that was had a full interior and was a 'cut away' style display.

Drop him a message and see if he can find the thread it was on.

I thought that his (and certainly the other linked ones) is a 38(t).  Completely different vehicle.  I don't recall the one with the flag draped, but I'd like to see it too.  I like that tank a lot.  Here's one I finished last January-modeled from the French campaign.

Sorry I believe those photos aren't those you're looking for:

But perhaps they may help.

Nice job F Matthews! Yes, I'm definitely looking for a 35(t), not a 38(t).

But, after another session of searching, I found what I was looking for. Definitely not the site I originally found it on- but here it is nonetheless!

Now to get the garage heated up so I can airbrush...

Glad you found what you were looking for...the 35(t) is one that I have not yet tackled...I keep hoping that one day DML will get to it and produce a modern tooling kit so I have not added any of the other available kits to the stash yet. I may be waiting a long time but people said the same thing about Neubaufahrzeugs so I think there's still reason to hope! Wink
