Need a bit of Help

The idler wheel and sprocket go on using the friction of the poly caps. Attempt to pull one or the other off and put it back on after you have slipped the track onto the rest of the orad wheels.

if you have not glued the drive sproket in place,after you link the tracks securely place one end over the idler then strech out to the drive sproket,place one side on the outside of the drive and roll the track into place.it mght take a bit of work to get past the guide teeth on the tracks but my experience is they don't pose much of a problem.BE CAREFUL that you do this SLOWLY and watch that you don't pull the idler or road wheels out of alignment or worse break them off. good luck.

Alright, thanks. yeah, they're very tight, so Im worried that if i join it then it might not go on at all! But that probably wouldn't happen, right?

I used to melt it before installation. I would fit the track either over the idler first or the sprocket and stretch it around the road wheels. I agree that Tamiya rubber bands and can be tight, much like Italeri tracks as well.

You will have to wrap the tracks around the  running gear then attach both ends.  Good luck.

Join them before you put them on the tank. Heated nail will work, also a soldering iron if you have one. You want to mushroom out the head of the "pin" so that they stay together. Older vinyl tracks are impervious to just about any adhesive. Another option is to staple them and hid the staple under a road wheel. Make sure they're good and secure cause you may have to stretch them a little to get them on the tank afterward.
