The 23-inch wide HVSS system had rollers with rubber tires. The VVS system's return rollers and idler wheels did not have any rubber tire (another DML instructional error). I paint my as dusty exposed steel.

I am 99% sure that they were steel on both the VVSS and HVSS.

Does anyone know if the support rollers on the M4 Sherman family were all steel or if they had rubber on them also like the wheels? Any insight would be appreciated, thanks
