Tamiya King Tiger (early turret)

Wow, only Feb and already two models completed (even if they were started last year)

Along with the Marder III completed last week this kit was picked up cheap for experiments. I did the zimmerit by hand, plus more experimenting with weathering. Barrel was after market (my first in this regards), didn't realize when I ordered it was the late style barrel though I have seen pictures of porsche turrets with late barrel so I guess its not impossible.

Anyhow enough crap he's the pics, happier with this than I was with the marder but still much room for improvement.

As always cirticism/advice welcome

Nice job on this, the Zimm has come out well. What did you use.

My main issue would be the tracks. Not sure if its meant to be rust or dirt, but it does look very rusty.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Andrew,

Nice work on the zim and cammo pattern! Yes The only suggestion I would offer would be to tone down the orange coloration on the exhausts and darken the mouths of the pipes with soot or similar exhaust to give them a more realistic appearance.

Cheers on doing your own zimmerit. It came out well. However from pics I've seen, the rows are much tighter together. The Camo is nicely done. Good job.
