A single bottle also lasts a very very long time...I'm still on my first one and have only used up about 1/4 of the bottle over several years and many builds. It's great stuff, a little bit goes a long way, just be sure to keep the lid screwed down tight and use a smaller brush than what comes attached to the cap. As DM has pointed out, $15 is highway robbery for a single bottle. Mine still has the $2.98 sticker on it and a date of August 2006 so that should give you an indication of how long a single bottle will last you. Wink

Great! I'll check out Hobbytown tomorrow and see if they have it- if not I guess I'll buy it straight from Walthers. Oh the unexpected wonders of Google!

I remember it was located in train section at Hobby Town USA.  I couldn't find it so I asked the clerk and he led to the train section.  HUH!?!?  Good luck!

That sounds like precisely what I need!

Ebay has it for $15 with shippingHuh?- I'll have to pic some up next time I'm at a good hobby store in Denver (my LHS doesn't have much of anything).

Thanks for the tip!Yes

Edit: I do have a hobbytown USA in my area- but I don't believe the local store carries it (they RARELY restock anything). It'll be worth a look, though.

Ditto  Love this stuff... Solvaset.  Available at Hobby Town USA if you have one in your area.

I only use Walthers Solvaset.

Here's some details from the one and only about its use and effects.

"Initially the Solvaset will cause the decal to wrinkle up slightly, don't panic! This is normal and is part of the softening process that gets the decal to conform to the underlying surface. It takes about 1 hour for the Solvaset to dry thoroughly and during that process I will check the edges and reapply Solvaset where needed. Once dry, a 2nd coat of Future is sprayed through the air brush and allowed to dry. The result is a seamless decal that's perfectly blended into the underlying Future coat and sealed with the 2nd coat to protect it from the weathering process".

Decal problems....
Posted by Njal Thorgeirsson on Sunday, March 4, 2012 3:51 PM

I finally got around to painting my panzer 35(t) (which I've now been working on for about a year), and I was really looking forward to finally finishing up a project I can be very proud of. So I put down my usual coat of Future to more easily accept the decals. I let it dry for a few days, put down the decals, sealed with another coat of future, and in due time I sprayed a dull acrylic clear over top. But when I began thinking about weathering my tank, I noticed that most of the decals are silvering somewhat, and separating from the paint. They aren't bubbeling or anything- they just aren't adhering well. I used micro sol to apply them in order to ensure that this wouldn't happen- but it apparently did anyway. Any ideas as to what I could do to solve this problem? Is there a more harsh decal softener/adhesive that might help?

Normally the future base gives decals a flawless painted-on look (at least in my experience), but I guess this build just wants to be problematic.

Thanks for the help!
