Tigerman and TD4438: Thanks a bunch! Big Smile

Bill and Johan: I agree with you. How did they really think when they designed this vehicle? Just thinking of sitting inside the vehicle with that cupola over your head makes me feel claustrophobic! Tongue Tied

These GI's seems to enjoy taking a joyride in this upgunned version though Big Smile

Very cool subject and treatment Tony, the UE is always one of those designs that you look at and instantly feel sorry for the crew! Smile

I wholeheartedly agree..........

http://forums.mg-rover.org/images/smilies/Smug%20Git.gifVery realistic and high quality work in this "Forgotten Allies" venue Tony. I'm sure you are making this series of armored vehicles very appealing to a lot of the guys here. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

I think I understand the design concept, but as Rob said earlier - it is quite interesting to look at the old design and try to understand where all of these designs origin from.

Forgotten allies 2: Romanian Malaxa UE and PAK 38 (PICS)

Here's the second build in the serie "Forgotten allies" that  I've been working on lately.

It's a French Renault UE carrier that the Romanians built on license under the designation "Malaxa tip UE",- It was the most common tracked towning vehicle in the Romanian army.

It is towning a 50mm Pak 38 gun which Germany exported to the Romanians in 1942, when it upgraded its own anti-tank guns to the 75 mm Pak 40.

The carrier is from Tamiya and the Pak from Italeri.

Enjoy!
