Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, February 5, 2004 7:49 PM
Hey guys, just askin for some advice again. I have Tamiya's hummer and I'm stumped on the color scheme to use. I wanted to do woodland but I'm really IINEXPERIENCED and didn't wanna risk ruining my model. I could always do like an artic camo which would be cool but I was kinda set on the woodland. Just would like some advice and what type of nozzel should I use for my airbrush; I have an aztech

How about desert tan? Easy enough to apply and google will help you find plenty of pictures.

I've got a similar problem but I'm doing my Hummers in U.N. white just to be different. plus I don't have any experience in cammo yet. I bought several HC hummers on sale so that I can build tons of variants. They are not as up to date as the new tamiya but they are cheep and good for practice. When I paint the $40 tamiya I want it to be perfect!LOL I built one around christmas time for my dad in solid forest green because my dad, who was staioned in Germany, said that the one he drove on post was solid forest green as opposed to all the cammo and desert ones we see on the net. When I do the desert one, which will probly be a Tamiya, I'm going to scratch build some smoke dischargers on all four corners of the roof as they are using in them in some of the units. Nice to see another "soft-skin" builder around here.
