hey guys, well tonight i got done practice, and i got settled in to do some serious modwl work tonight, when the girl calls and really wants me to come over, but she has a lot of work to do, noticing the depression in my voice, she tells me to bring the model over and do work on it at her place, which i gladly did while she studied calc. it was actually a success cause i got alot of good work done. some pics should be up shortly of the model.

my Tamiya Sdkf 223. im nearing completion which is nearly a miracle in mid semester. yeah i was quite suprised and speechless when she said bring it over. actually i could done in the next couple days. i dont know if anyone here is from PA. But the teachers in the State Institute of Higher Education (12 colleges in PA) have all threatened strike for years, they voted for it, and approved it, so tomorrow at 10am the press conference from the union head is stepping to the podium to make an announcement, apparently Gov Rendell stepped in a couple days ago and got them to delay the press conference 24 hours, so well find out tomorrow if they go on strike, maybe illl get a few days to work on models :) man i dont think im ever gonna get out of college.

Interesting problem, but I would chose the modeling with the girlfriend! Maybe you can teach her how to get involved in our hobby, Joe

Definately a keeper! Buy her a bracelet. If she starts modeling too...buy her a RING!
I let one potential model building girl get away and I won't make that mistake again!

lol im not gonna be able to get her into hobbying or anything like that, she actually shakes her head when i do it, but shes really glad i have a hobby to relieve stress from daily life so my temper doesnt blow and i take it out on her.....so with that in mind shes really supportive, she also doesnt really like history (being a science major and all, and i wanting to be a history teacher) but a keeper she surely is.

littlemoe, yeah man im going to PennConn in Harrisburg, since its only an hour away, actually im planning on joing the IPMS chapter in Harrisburg with with track right now being on Saturdays i cant get there yet on sat nights, eventually i will though., Millersville is in Lancaster about 5 minutes outside the city, a town right smack in Mennonite and Amish Country, lukcily im not to far from my home in Philly. i would like to get something done in time to enter for PennConn but i dont know if ill quite get it done yet, cause of classes and such, but there i certainly will be. it would be cool to meet someone from the forum though.

She sounds like a winner! Get her down the aisle and count your blessings. The last one I had told me "I think I resent your hobbies" and I thought "you're really going to resent them when I choose them over you!" One question:
Is her mom single?Cool [8D]

I knew an old lady who owned a model shop. When I would stop into her shop with a girlfriend to get some paint or something, she'd always touch the girl's arm, look at her seriously, and say that "you know that a man who builds scale models is going to be good to you, that he's a good man."

Of course, she was also completely out of her mind.
