a lot of "peacekeeping" between UN and IFOR plus canadian units operating with NATO. it's nice though i haven't seen any modern canadian soldiers as yet. i will have to try the tamiya pen. i usually do powders but did washes on my 2 un wheels. i also need to load up the bussles on my LAV. it's nice trumpeter added ration box etal decals and an assortment of arabic signs.

Black Dog make modern Canadian soldiers.  They make infantry and tank crewmen.

Agreed excellent job!

Just me or is there a trend by manufactures to include Canadian marking for vehicles in new kits?

Trumpeter has taken notice eh, good to see Canada represented OOB and not just AM anymore.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Chris, the kit is Trumpeters kit oob, with backpacks and tarps stolen from some academy kits. As for the weathering. the lower i use a tamiya weathering pen and basically just scribble all over the area that I'm weathering try to do this one area at a time., The next  step is to take a clean brush and dip it in some clean water. make sure the brush is just wet but not dripping wet, then you just kinda paint. The weathering pen is like a pastel, so it spreads out and will naturally clump which is what you want for doing mud. The dust, is a valljo pigment that you just apply using a standard brush, it comes in a wide variety of colours and because it is a pigment it has the same texture as real dust so it works very nicely. Thats about it, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask

Looks really good!

Do you mind sharing your weathering technique?

Also is that all OOB or any extras?

Nice build. I don't know much about the military, but I think the Princess Patricia's Light Infantry based out of Edmonton may use these.

Top of the morning to everyone, recently i finished Trumpeters LAV III and wanted to share my work. The kit does have some short comings, but overall it was a good challenging build. I wanted to model it as a vehicle that has seen extensive use in A-stan and i think i got the look i was after.
