Can't get the e-mail to work either... Seeing this tank, I think I recognize an air of Samba... Could I be right, Larry, or do I need to look at other shores...

Seriously, it is (or was) a good tank had it made it to production. He-he-he. Personally, I like to know how the G__t 120mm Gun would perform against those of the M1, Chally 2 , Leo 2 and the rest of the new MBT's. Ooops.

well, personally I wouldn't call it much of a tank. it gets bought by lower-budget countries, because they can't afford american or european tanks.

whats with all the shot traps on so many modern mbt's didn't anyone learn anything from the early panthers. i've been paying more attention to that lately when looking at tank pictures and so many of the new tanks have a turrets with angles that would deflect shots down into the hull

Doesn't the leopard series of tanks also have a "shottrap turret " as well, I think modern tanks are so heavily armoured now it just doesn't matter anymore ! This one performed pretty comparable to the M1A1 and leopard in war games from what I read on a website

Hey DJ, know anything about the K1A1 kit? I think it comes from roughly the same time period.

BTW, as far as I know, no one actually uses the Osorio. The Brazilians developed it to sell to the Saudis, but after Desert Storm the M1 was the tank to buy. The company that developed it went out of business as they had invested tens of millions in developing it.

Does anyone actually use it? I don't think the Brazilians do. It was developed exclusinvely for export, AFAIK.
