Whoops, I missed that little bit didn't I? You'd then have the option of doing it yourself or buying AM. Dragon did release a pre-zimmed version too.

Welcome to the show.
Wouldn't that DML Tiger need zimm added to make it accurate ?
That first Dragon Late was interesting because, in essence, the aftermarket parts were already in the box; metal barrel, photo etch details etc. But the plastic versions were included too, and we all knew this generosity could not last forever!
The Dragon Tigers try to be highly accurate out of the box. If you want to add detail, you might prefer to start with a Tamiya; they are easier builds but they all need some improvement and some extras.
Or you could try converting an existing kit to a slightly different variant of Tiger that's not available OOB. I will be happy to provide the detailed information.
The ultimate Tiger I might be the Dragon Tiger I Late with 1166 pieces. Can't think of the number #6253 or something like that. Gazillion PE and aluminum barrel etc. Can be spendy on the secondary market though.
Personally I am hooked on Dragons Tiger kits.Working torsoin bars and stuff like that.Room to let the detailer in you go mad.Mmmmmwahahahahaha.

Hey all, getting tired of model RR. What is a good kit for a Tiger 1, that you can add a lot of aftermarket details.
I'm a seasoned modeler, know about styrene and resin.
just not about which are good or bad kits, small details no problem. I have been working a Cat D-8 in 1/48 that was simple kit that I scratchbuilding with much detail.
Thanks,
Dave
