                        Hi guys,

                        I'm going to be building the Cyber Hobby kit (#9119) which is the StuG III Ausf C/D for Andy's Panzer III GB to help all the builds get completed.

                        I'm not getting it from America but this is the one - looks nice but it's out of production now but a place in England has a few left so I'm snapping one up.

                        I'll definately be wanting to upgrade the barrel to a metal one but that's all. Having searched around I can't find a dedicated C/D barrel? Is the barrel on the C/D the same as on the G perhaps?

                        Any advice would be greatly appreciated chaps!

                        A true C/D barrel would be a short 75 I think a L24. This kit seems to be of a vehicle with a refit because it even has a saukopf mantle which is a very late war development.

                        Just get a G barrel and it should cover it.

                        It was standard German practice when vehicles were sent back for refit/repairs to upgrade them to the latest available standards...thus this long-lived C/D got the upgun treatment to the StuK 40 L/48...just make sure Ben when you get the barrel that it's got the right style of muzzle brake and you should be ok.
