Well, I just got an idea of my first diorama attempt. There is good news and bad news. The bad news is I've gotta do one of those wingie-thingies. The good news is it was brought down by AA fire over N. Africa. I found a photo of my grandfather and two of his crew sitting on the wing of a downed Stuka in the desert in 43'. Just need to do some research on the A/C markings. It is a very poor quality photo. I will try to post the pic as soon as i figure out Ron's site. You should see that thing, they made it into swiss cheese! LOL

Are you gonna build a British AA gun?

It wasn't in the photo but I did think about it. First I'm gonna go just straight from the photo. Three American GI's sittin on a block of cheese, I mean a Stuka, getting their picture taken to impress their girls back home.

It's one thing building a new plane, but I imagine even harder building a crashed one. Best of luck.

Crashes are difficult! I did a P-61 shot up, collapsed main gear, bent prop, etc.. I had two at the time and did one straight also. I'd really like to see that when done!

What scale are you going to do it in? 1/72 would be best for a combination of a/c and armor.
