I play too.  I got the M3 also the other day i think it would be fun but a month is a little unrealistic for anyone with a job or schooling.  I also have same username look me up.  Not that good but use the right mouse button to lock on and just zigzag.  Thats my tip.

Gamera, I play all tiers (haven't got a 10 yet) so I'll watch for you as well.

I recently built the Tamiya KV-1B and used the camo scheme I have on my KV in the game.  When they split the KVs, I eneded up with a KV-1 and a KV-2 with the same look, so now I gotta build another KV-2, probably trumpeter.  I really like that kit.

Reminds me of when I used to play the online Fighter Ace game in the late 90s. After I figured out which planes best suited my style of playing, I then started building aircraft models to match the online version.

I did end up making the Spitfire XIVe with incorrect JEJ markings to match the ingame markings. The game used one Spitfire marking "skin" to replicate all Spitfire markings even though in game the wings and fuselage shapes were different between versions as well as the colors of the camouflage scheme.

Don't....Stop....Moving....

Lol, thanks! I've been trying to keep my speed up while jinking and weaving but these guys are just too good for me to evade. Wink

I just got out of the newbie zone so I don't have many battles under my belt. I'll look for you guys.

Playing under Gamera977. Be polite and wave to me while you're pumping hot lead into my little Stuart. Propeller

Wow, 8000! And I thought my 2000+ games was a lot.  I'm doing all Soviet right now, T-50, T-34-85, and IS as my light med, and heavy.  Addictively fun game. I'm joeynobody on WOT.  I think I was playing just this week and saw 'Duke1226', so it was YOU who blew up my T-50!

World of Tanks is amazingly fun.  I would love to see plastic kits of  more of the obscure armor in the game.  (SU-5, SU-8, etc) Then enter it, in a game -supplied camo scheme!

A typical build for me is about 3 weeks, so theretically, I could do this.

If you see Duke1226 on the WoT battlefield, it'sme,  another armor-building addict.  Will pass 8000 battle milestone this weekend.

I'm with you guys, not enough time. Thought it would be worthy of at least letting you guys know about it.

Rob: I hear ya. I didn't know much about the Lee. I knew it wasn't top of the line and didn't get much use outside Africa from what I could tell but after playing this little game I gotta say I might build one up. I do almost exclusively modern stuff but this game kind of has me interested in some of the older stuff now. Don't get me wrong you wont see me on here building Tigers and Shermans by the truck load but something off the wall like this has my interest.

Definately could do something in 3 weeks.  Just gotta find me a KV variant.  If I have the time I will try it out.  It would be cool to do, as well as my first contest.

Coldsteel6d

Started playing recently and its given me a new found admiration for vehicle I never cared much for, like the M3 Lee.

The Lee was actually a pretty amazing concept; basically see UK field reports that the standard 37mm gun will be useless, grab a 75mm off the shelf and cram it into an upgraded M2 medium tank hull until the proper turret can be developed and kick the tank into battle until better M4s can be made.

For a vehicle that started knowing that it was near obsolete before the first piece of metal was laid (and that it was superior to basically all available UK tanks) it was amazing how long it lasted.

Ok, you guys tempted me to the point I downloaded the game and started it last night. Pretty cool, though I need a great deal more practice, I'm driving around with a big target on me right now. Dead Still I'm getting to love the speed and handling of my little M3 Stuart.

I have to agree, I love the idea but there's no way in hades I can get something built in a month.

EDIT: The more I think about it to make my Stuart model look like my in game tank I'd have to build her as a burning wreck Whistling

Sounds fun, but like watchman says, 1 month (actually more like 3 weeks), too fast for me.

I quickly looked at that contest info last night.  Aren't they only giving a month for entries?!  I can't build a model in a month. :(

I'll be playing tonight, look me up... same name. ;)

I know a few guys here play WoT and they also have an add or two going on FSM. So I think most of us know what WoT is.

Looks like they are having a contest. Basically you have to model something that is available in game. Looks kind of interesting.

Started playing recently and its given me a new found admiration for vehicle I never cared much for, like the M3 Lee.
