Cyber-Hobby Orange box Sherman A4A4

I'm building the M4A4 and was wondering if anyone knows what the object is that is mounted on a short stalk on the top of the turret?  Is it a searchlight or some other type of signaling device?

Also, does anyone have a source of Commenwealth or US decals so I can convert it from 1st Chinese division to a British or American armored division used on or after D-Day.  I've checked Archer and Bison with no results.

Cheers

It is a spot light. Sort of an ingenious device, basically a handheld lamp that can be removed to look around for things or fixed in place as a searchlight. It has a circular hood on it that is telescoping to allow a more concentrated beam or you can push it flush to have a wider light span.

As to US markings, I am not sure the US used this version in combat. It was used by other allies though.

Which part is your question about?  As for US markings for the M-4A4 - they were not used by the US in the ETO (except for a few isolated examples).

Here is a link to decals for the Sherman V (aka M4A4) for British tanks post D-Day.
