Iraqi armor color question
Posted by wing_nut on Thursday, May 24, 2012 3:50 PM

Can someone please tell me what the "good starting point" color is for an Iraqi Enigma?  Notice I didn't ask "correct" color.  I hate the, "... hey you know you have the wrong color green on that..." conversations.

An off the shelf color would be best but if ya got a mix I’ll take that too.

TIA

it varies...again, here is a pic i took during desert storm...maybe it will help

just to give u an idea. btw, the signs on the vehicles where put there because they had a show for "dignitaries" and they wanted to "show them off".

Sand.  Really, from what I saw on Iraqi vehicles during the initial invasion in '03 and later on a return trip from '08-'09, there was and still is no standard color.  They were in some shade of sand, that is about the only standard they had.

I agree with the other posts, every vehicle I saw in both 91 and 2003 seemed to be a different shade of tan.
