Greg- Thanks my friend! Beer I really loved this gift.  Thank you again!

I have been looking for a good resin or styrene diorama set to go with the StuG and figures but I can not find a good match so I will try to make one from scratch and use those stuff from Woodland Scenics.  Planning to do this summer before the Big Cat GB... I am going to build a Tiger and I could use your help. Wink

Kind of ,shall I say breath-taking !! The stug certainly looks the part. I would imagine a bit of interior is due in one of your builds soon. This would look cool in a dio. as depicted in the box art.Hint hint .Looking forward to seeing you and that Tiger mixing it up. Have a great day Andy..

SMJ- I am honored that you liked my StuG.  Thank you very much! Beer I have learned all of this from you guys here at FSM forms and reading modeling magazines.

I have seen your work and I always admire your work!  Appreciate all of your feedback and there is always a room for improvement.  This is something I definitely will try next time when I do rust streaks

I am glad you have returned because I am digging your Tiger WIP.  Yes

deafpanzer:  I'm a real fan of this one!  Great subject, great paint scheme selection, SUPERB EXECUTION!!!  You really nailed this one!  The photos are great and they really show-off your all-around attention to detail.  I love the tracks especially the spares on back.    That wood block and straps are awesome.  The metal looks like metal, the edges are worn, graphite highlights...all spot on!Bow Down

The ONLY thing I can suggest is a bit a variation of the color of the rust and the amounts shown for streaks...they are all somewhat alike.

Bish- No worries!  I am very confident that we will be many GBs together as long as we plan to model for next 20-30 years or so. Stick out tongue  For now I will lay back and catch up on my builds before I can host another one but it has been fun hosting,

I really enjoyed hosting a GB as well. And i deffinatly have plans to host more. But i am also playing catchup, finishing off Dioramas for several kits.

Kenny- Thanks mate! Beer Glad you liked the figures... I think I need to work on the tank commander's cheeks one more time.  Maybe I should quit looking at the pictures too long...

Guys- Anthony mentioned about the figures I worked to go with the StuG.  That's one of reasons why it took me long to finish this build.  Normally I do 1 or 2 figures but this time I did four figures and it took me about a month to paint them. Enjoy...

The Commander- It is a resin figure from Tank...

The Ammo Boy-  I haven't taken updated picture of him holding K98 rifle in his right hand...

The Mule-  Is that Danny Devito?  He is not happy cause he is hauling 50lbs MG tripod on his back...

Rambo- My favorite of all... he is itchin' to kill all of those Russkie bastards.  (Sorry Tread!)

I did winter camo using hairspray on his helmet but I haven't taken a picture yet.  The soldiers came from this great Dragon set... one of the best so far.

I am planning to do diorama later this summer but first I need to finish my current build Pz III Ausf K before my GB ends in August.

Again, thanks for looking and comments are always welcome especially Tread's avatar lady!

Tread- LOL!  It didn't hurt to ask...maybe next time you will give in.  Glad you enjoyed the extra pictures so you can see the initial work.

Disastermaster- Better?  Hell yeah because I am learning from y'all old masters! Big Smile  Owe it to you guys... thank you! Beer

Eric- Easy... trade your whole stash for my iPhone.  Consider it a good trade.  Then I will have to figure out a good story to tell my company how I lost my iPhone... Whistling

John- Hey!!!  Thanks buddy!  If it wasn't for your help telling me how to do the hairspray technique and twisting my arm to buy the MIG F.A.Q. 2 book, I won't have done any good!  I will buy you a meal next time we meet, deal?

Believe me I am still reading the book... Big Smile  And please make the heat wave go... way too early for us Hoosiers!

YesYes Very well finished DP!Toast And I do agree about the Dragon Imperial Series, they are good kits. They may not have the latest and greatest like the Smart Kits and the Premium Editions, but they build up very nicely!Toast

Stik- Thanks man!  We posted at the same time.  Gonna hunt for those Imperial kits on evilBay... Devil

My next build?  It will be another Imperial kit... Panzer III Ausf K.  I know its detailfreak's fault!!!  Our friend satch ip sold me the old set so we could close few remaining gaps for the Pz III GB.  Thank you satch ip by the way!

Thought you would enjoy more pictures I didn't post earlier.

The kit itself...

Because it is an old kit, I ordered few aftermarket sets.  Also, tow cables from Eurka XXL & antennas are from LionMarc...

And tracks from Friuls... I am a big fan of those tracks now.

Photos from the WIP posted in the GB... all clasps were from the PE set.

Primed and preshading...

Winter camo using silly putty & hairspray technique...

Interactive AK and MIG products...

Mufflers are not visible unfortunately... painted them just in case those judges are little aggressive in judging.

I think you will like those Interactive AK products... they worked just GREAT!

Thanks guys!!!  Just returned home from seeing a great movie 'The Avengers' with my boys.

Anthony- I sure did!  That's another reason this build took me so long to complete because I was painting four figures to go with the StuG.  I can post figures here when I have the chance.  Thanks again!

Bill #1- Thanks buddy!  I was going for this winter camo but I preferred the worn out since those paint didn't stay on too well. Found this pic and I just fell in love at first sight...

As you can tell the winter camo was probably recently applied. Found paper plate in one of Concord books on StuGs...

Gamera- Thanks!!!  Used AK products pretty much and they made a huge difference there.  MIG pigments were used on the tracks and mufflers only.

satch ip- They are Friuls and I really like it very much!  Detailfreak will probably tell you what he did with the kit tracks. LOL Thanks for looking!

Eric- Thanks man!  Glad you liked the winter camo! I might do it again on my Tiger for the Big Cats GB if there will be one... Whistling LOL

Believe it or not I used my iPhone 4s.  Newer iPhones have better camera now and I use special light bulbs designed for photographing.

Tread- Thanks!!!  Hope it is good enough so you can send that lady in your avatar over? Big Smile

Bill #2- Hey friend!  Too hot to be playing golf today?  Its 95 here in Indy!  Always good hearing from you and thanks for the nice words!

Guys- Built this old Dragon Imperial StuG as it was a gift from our good friend 'detailfreak'.  Thank you Greg! Beer  It was for the 'Panzer III & Its Variants' group build I have been hosting for a year now.

It has been a fun build and I will not hesitate to build an old Dragon Imperial kit again.  Enjoy!

I wouldn't have done it well without your support here at FSM.  Off to build another Imperial kit Panzer III Ausf K for the same GB.  It is still going strong and there is still about three months left in case you are interested to build a Panzer or StuG III.  Thanks!
