The idler does give you some room to adjust the track tension. If you're using the large idler wheel, this may be sufficient. Otherwise, you may have to cut off a link; see

I've heard they run a little long. Can you adjust the idler? I heard you need to remove a link. Is this true even for gluing them to the road wheels? Thanks for any help.&
