Hey Tigerman, hi there!!
I have a few Dragon kits in the stash to make up, the Panther is the one you said, only bought it for £8 because I was skint at the time but I will keep an eye out for the Dragon Panther.
If it's the A, do yourself a favor and sell it. Pick up a Dragon kit. They come with PE grills and depending, indy tracks and even zimmerit some of their kits.
Check out our Steel Cat GB when you figure it out. September kick off.

Another nice looking build! We have to remember that all of them came out of the factory new and clean... we are just addicted to dirt and rust here.
Eric is having a group build this fall for Tigers and Panthers if you are interested...

That's very nicely done slight weathering . Models does look very well built and painted . you might want to do more weathering on the exhaust and the tow shackles on the rear could be hanging straight down .
I like it. Many people will want more mud, scratches, chips, etc. I like that just the way it is...cheers....Kenny
Thanks fr the kind words guys...
Hinksy I really like the idea of weathering the sprockets...I will bear it in mind for future builds me thinks...
Another nice big cat. And i do like the sudtle weathering. I find this harder to get right than the heavier weathering. You have pulled it off nicely.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Nice work on the Tamiya KT...Tamiya kits have helped many a modeler get their feet wet in armor building and looks like you've been converted!

I built this kit many years ago and yes, it did fly together without much problems. Tamiya kits tend to do that.
Not being a heavy weatherer myself, i appreciate the understated finish on it. You've captured her lines well with the washes.
Tojo72 Welcome aboard,a nice clean build,I do like the subtle weathering.

Ditto Tojo!
Welcome aboard!
It's a very nice build - an almost fresh off the production line build!
I am usually a sucker for heavy weathering and weather most of my kits that waybut that's just me though I do intend to keep the weathering on my work in progress Sherman Firefly very restrained. The restrained weathering shown here is a bit different from the norm and I do like it
If you plan to keep it this way I'd definately recommend taking a very small pointed brush to the teeth of the drive sprockets to show wear from the tracks. I wouldn't use lots of paint on these teeth yet as you want to keep the 'fresh look' I'd almost dry-brush the metallic silver paint onto the teeth so the teeth doesn't look too distressed yet - it wouldn't be in keeping with the rest of the vehicle (imo).
Anyway, a nice build which I like - top job dude

This was my first Tamiya tank that I built, an it kind of converted me to Tamiya kits. As I was still at the time just learning all over again, the kit was base coated by brush, then a thinned brown matt 33 was added to raised areas, I think now it was a little too dark, but not a major problem because I still think it looks OK.
Small weathering effects were added by pastel application and a spots of black paint being applied, allowed to dry for an hour then dragged downwards with a brush dipped in thinners. I kind or regret a little using the silver for added paint wear but it's on now. I don't know how accurate the whole paint job is though, as at this time I was just building to my own likes if you understand. A little more detail on the jack block would be good when I get round to it.
The build quality was superb as I remember, all the parts went together very nicely, although there was a seam on the main gun that needed attention. The turret MG needs adding as the very last part of the kit as one will keep knocking it off during paining and weathering. The rear grills are photo etched and work well, especially with a little dent added for realism. The tracks are single link that have to be glued together link by link. This proved quite a challenge to me as I had never made this type of track before, but I managed to work it out so that the links stuck together by their own interference, when in position I simply ran a line of super glue down the middle of the track that sank in and joined them together
Hope you like it guys.
