First, thanks for the compliment, Legos are a medium I enjoyed as a kid, and I've always loved AFVs so I figured "What the Hell!"
Second, brace yourself, because the answer regarding the flowers is pure stupidity. - All of my tanks that I build are not "mini-fig" scale. That is assuming the Lego mini figs represent a 6' adult, which would mean I'd have to build my tanks in a 1:40ish scale. I don't like building tanks that small, so my Lego mini figs represent ridiculous plant/human hybrids known in Thai folklore as "Naree Pon". - They are very small humanoids. This way, other builders in the Lego community don't sit there complaining my tanks are too big, and NOT mini fig scale. I know it's completely absurd, but I include them in at least one picture of each tank to showcase some of the crew features. I'll be photographing my SA-4 in the next day or two, and I'll let you guys know when it's up! Take it easy.

I'm not going to lie, I've seen some great models in plastic and paper; but with the restrictions of LEGO, I'd have to say your work is pretty incredible.

One question, why are the T-28 tankers wearing flowers on their heads?

This is the only model of this beast that I know of : http://www.tank-mania.com/SA-4-Ganef.php

But I only used the photos from Tank-Mania's website for reference. I am free-building one out of Lego. I am a Lego Military Modeler. Other Tanks/AFVs I've built include: U.S. T-28/T95, Tunguska 2S6m, Stridsvagn Strv-103b, Kodiak AEV 3, and a M2A2 BFV.

Below is a link to my photo-stream if you'd like to check out some of my stuff:

Is there a kit of this or are you bashing one out?

SA-4 Ganef Question
Posted by DTC on Saturday, June 23, 2012 11:08 AM

Hoping somebody can help me out. Currently building a model of the SA-4 Ganef / 2K11 Krug, wondering what the technical name/description of the brace is that holds the missiles when the launcher is driving, then folds down when the missiles are ready to be launched. I need to know, so when I post photos, I'm using the correct terminology. If it is just called a brace, I'm gonna kick myself! Thanks
