I use Humbrol 66 for OD all of the time. The trick is to overcoat it with future for the correct shine, and it becomes darker then, too. Works even better if you put a tiny amount of black acrylic paint to the future to darken it even further. Humbrol 116 is a good match for OG - olive green, color used on the Vietnam era uniforms. I have seen your M102 build before, it's a great piece and gives a nice feel of a gun having just been deployed onto the field.

Humbrol 66 may be a close match, it's a very dark olive drab. I will pick up some Tamiya XF-74 tomorrow and anyway.

Yes, the AFV Club kit is great. It really does have some very nice details to it which look to be quite accurate and it goes together easy. I refined some of the molded details with a No.11 blade, but overall, it builds into a beautiful 102 straight from the box.  I wouldn't mind doing another one. They are quite cheap too

No...it is not your imagination. The OD green used from the late 50s thru VN was darker and slightly semi gloss. Not sure of the Humbrol paint since i use Tamiya XF-74 JSDF OD.
