Hello,
I have been putting together the AFV Club M102 105mm artillery gun. Awesome little kit by the way! I have got to the painting stage and have painted it in Humbrol 116, which having looked around, seems to be the suggested colour for a Vietnam era gun.
I have a question though. When looking at period photos of the M102 in action in Vietnam, the guns seem to be a lot darker in colour than what Humbrol 116 is. Is this just an effect of the photography of the day, or were the guns a darker colour than the suggested 116?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as it will be easy to re-paint now.
Here are a couple of photos of the guns in Vietnam taking from Google...
and my build using Humbrol 116...
Any help or suggestions here would be very much appreciated
Justin...
