Hobby Boss' M4 High Speed Tractor
Posted by constructor on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 12:12 PM

Finally finished my M4 High Speed Tractor for 155 mm/90. There are some very tiny parts and I had to test many assemblies because it turned out that some parts cannot be accomodated in to its place if there will be obstructions.

Very well done ! I like the shade of the green you used . Excellent photography also . I'm wondering why the chain is still in the brass color though .

I'm still trying to figure out what to use for oxidizing them. Painting does not look good. I have tried that in some of the chains I used . Thanks!

Yeah looks good Constructor except for the chain. Now all you need is a gun for her to tow! Wink

Your welcome . My wife  works with stained glass and she uses Novacan patina on her frames and chain . I used it on a piece of brass chain in my M4A3 dozer build .I wasnt completely satisfied with the results but it did roughen the surface really good which made it a better surface for flat dark gray enamel to adhere to . I was able to weather it after that with no flaking off of the paint .

Love the subject!  I never cease to be amazed at the level of detail you good modelers are able to achieve.

Thanks for posting the pictures.

Nice job on the HST constructor. Love the detail work on the engine in particular.
