I used a lamp with a magnifying lens, it helped a lot.  honestly, on the camo, I didn't focus too closely, I just tried to get a rounded hard-edged look, then I spattered the base color over the jagdpanzer by flicking the brush.  I'm keeping these models in a plastic tackle case until I can build a proper display case.

Good lord those are small, easily lost or damaged... and if I tried to tackle one of those I would probably go cross- eyed!

Auctung! Panzer!

Thanks.  I have been trying to figure out how to do that since the forum format changed.

They look very nice, but you should post directly the images instead of a link to an album, people can be lazy to click on a link sometimes or be afraid that the link may contain a virus or something like that. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

This set was originally a Jagdpanzer IV L70A and Flammpanzer but I kitbashed the Flammpanzer into a Hetzer by sanding down the barrel.  The base color is a mixture of Polly Scale Acrylic Paint, while the camo on the Jagdpanzer is mixtures of Testors and Model Master Enamels.  I painted the treads and Hetzer Machine-gun with a "gun-metal" mixture I mixed with tamiya black and a drop or two of Tamiya Silver.  The treads were then painted with a rust colored mixture of Polly Scale Paints and then dry brushed with Tamiya dull Aluminum to add depth and wear.  the undercarriage parts and exhaust pipes were also painted with the rust mixture.  Some of the rust mixture was reduced to a wash to add rust and dust weathering.  I "painted" the rubber tires with a Sharpie marker and then touched them up with Tamiya black.  I also made a wash with the Tamiya Black to add depth to the vents on the Jagdpanzer.  The tools were painted with the "gun-metal" mixture and brown.  The gun barrels and exhaust stacks were drilled out and painted Tamiya Black.  The periscope was also painted with Tamiya Black.   I enjoyed these little models to the extent that I think I will become 1:144 scale addict.  Even though you must be very precise with the details, there is less area to cover. Pictures follow.
