I'm not a "museum model builder" so maybe i'm not qualified to answer . All i can say is look for some kit reviews on the internet before you buy .

While I can't really comment on Ace kits, one of my pet hates is when you can't build what is shown on the box top. It's almost misleading advertising.

On the plus side, they make modern former Warsaw Pact and NATO vehicles no one else does.

ACE kits have been around for quite some time. The older kits are seriously limited run. Many are as close to unbuildable as can be; thick sprue gates, often indistinguishable from the parts. Tracks are often close to useless.

Newer kits released in the latter half of the past decade are pretty good, but still not up to the 1980s Esci 1/72 scale armor kit quality.

Huh?  Who the heck are all these museum model builders you're addressing??  I take it you don't like ACE models, but maybe when you pop in here for the first time you could include more information with your rant, like WIP photos, previous Armor forum blogs, some history here before we can take your post seriously.

Help me out here you museum model builders.... I AM NOT A MUSEUM MODEL BUILDER!!!

I build WWII Pacific War Diorama's in 1/72 scale and smaller.

ACE kits (manufactured in Ukraine) are to me one of the worst kits out there! In particular their 1/72 scaled,  US ARMY STAFF CAR MODEL 1942, IMPERIAL JAPANESE ARMY 4X4 CAR TYPE 95 PICKUP and their  IMPERIAL JAPANESE ARMY 4X4 CAR TYPE 95 (MODEL 3). They are impossible to "fit up" and what you see on the box is NOT what your buying. There's NEVER an clear vinyl for windows, no canvas tops that are shown,  side mirrors nonexistant, instructions that anything but instructions and parts that are mis-numbered or duplicated!!

Buyer BEWARE! (of course you may say "Opinion's are like body parts" everyone has one..

What do you think and please BE SERIOUS.
