I have to agree about not being a big fan of link-and-lengths.

Tamiya does offer a well engineered kit, without all the bells and whistles of say a Dragon or AFV Club. You sacrifice some detail for an easier build. That being said, if it weren't for the price of them, I'd be tempted to pull the trigger on more of their kits.

I don't think there detail has ever been the greatest. And while Dragon and others have advanced a lot, tamiya have sat still. But its nice to see they are getting better, and the areas were they lack detail can often not be seen or can easily be fixed.

I like Tamiya, but I already built the Dragon Elefant with the molded zimm from a few years ago and it was very good, not overly complicated,Also for some reason link+length drive me crazy,I'd rather do a full run of indies.

I think I'll stick with the DML.  Tamiya STILL gives you clunky details like molded on grab handles and such.  I know some people worship Tamiya (I'm not saying anyone that responded to this post does), but in my opinion they are falling short in the detail department in the last several years.

Seems like it gets good marks. But then it should do given the price. But i think i would consider it rather than the Dragon kit.

I much prefer the Zimm being a seperate item. I don't want to pay for stuff i am not going to use, a problem with many Dragon kits, but at least they give those who want it the option of Zimm, though of course at extra cost.

Nice tracks as well.

Vinyl self-adhesive zimmerit. Well, that's new. Mind you that it doesn't come with the kit.

Sorry, I don't have a hot-link Manny. Wink
