I'm going to try and build this one over the weekend. I does not look too complex. Is there anything I should know about this kid before I start?
good luck ozzman trump to me is a pain in the BUTT. and for some reason i still keep working on them.

Sorry ozz, can't give you any tips on the kit. I'm just eager to see how it turns out!! However I do have a few of Trump's KV-1 series that came out a few years ago and they are all quite nice!

I finished construction today. I only have to add the road wheels and the photoetch screens, but those will be painted first.
Wow, you really zoomed through that ozz!! Any problems with the kit? It looks to have built up quite nicely! I do recall reading a review on this kit and (IIRC) the biggest issue was the vinyl tracks because its difficult to get realistic sag, which is typical of vinyl tracks. The reviewer questioned why Trump didn't include a link&length option like their nice KV-1 series
Looks like it built up quickly Ozzman, two-piece barrels can be a pain depending, fortunately newer kits have largely abandoned that approach.

Nice job on the construction. I recently finished the BTR-50PK myself which is almost identical construction wise. The rubber band tracks in my kit were horrid so I replaced them with Friuls. However, Trumpeter has since released a set of hard plastic indi links for the PT chassis that might be worth a hard look. If they're like the other new indi tracks they have released they're most likely reboxed ModelKasten tracks.

I finished the kit today. Although I was not totally happy with the finish, this was a model that I just slapped together, so I am not worried, I still probably put more thought into painting it than the people who made the real thing.
Every build is a learning experience so as long as you got what you wanted out of it, that's what matters the most! Quick builds often help to recharge the juices, serve as testbeds, or just plain do it for fun.
