I've built scale aircraft for 40 some years and I have started a 1/35 Dragon Ausf. J. I do believe that I'm over my head. The "Magic Tracks" are impossible for me to put together. Is there an after market for one piece tracks ? This is my first tank and I'm having a tough time.
Magis Tracks are not the worst ones believe me! You can find other manufacturers who make after market tracks but these tend to be workable ones from Fruil or Modelkaster, I'm not sure of anyone who makes one piece tracks (you will see them refered to as "rubber band tracks" on here some times). If your struggleing with the Dragon ones have a look at Fruils as while they are workable and can take some time to put together as they are metal they give a nice weight to the tracks and the sag needed looks more realistic. I have also built some from AFV which are workable and made from styrene, but they are more work and can be a little fiddley

Thank you, Phil. I'm going to finish this tank, trust me. But, airplanes are my first love. LOL I rode in APCs and was around tanks some when I was in Viet Nam, but I have no knowledge of tanks what-so -ever. Thanks again.
Try taking a look under the Videos drop down menu above. Under the "how-to" link on there, there is a video by Aaron Skinner on how to build the Majic Tracks. They are a pain to clean up but I find them much easier than the rubber band type.

What I do is I put togeher a few length at a time. During assembly of the model, while waiting for the other assemblies to dry, I put together a few track shoe at a time. That way I do not get bored doing the whole length. I works for me.
