this is the dml vietnam mortar carrier but has some parts fot the recoilless rifle. given recent events here and wanting something other than green or sand, i buyilt this for civilian use. soda and ration boxes are from trumpeter LAV-III, wood box from zvezda T-34/85, cans and bucket and drum from acessory pack, axes from afvclub STRYKER ICV. weathered with powders. the cargo capacity is 1000 pounds which this is at with a 160 pound driver. fun little build.

 VERY cool build!

Wayne, you're in Colorado, right?  Was this a tribute to the Waldo Canyon fire? or the High Park fire?

hi bill

thank you. serendipity. i was looking for a little beveled base i had already stained and couldn't find it so i went to MICHAEL'S and saw this base and saw it would fit. this morning i found the smaller beveled base sitting next to my MAIALE italian "chariot submarine." i already had plans for it.

hi shellback everything just came together including the base. i tend to do different when i can. i'm pretty sure they are used by the fire fighting services or the park service.

hi dirk

thank you. i live just sw of denver and had this in the stash when the fires started. high park was 1.5 hours north at ft collins; waldo canyon an hour south in the springs. that caused my springs club to cancel our june meeting. fortunately none of our club members lost their home but some were evacuated.. don't think much plastic made the cut.

i wanted a fast build which turned out to be longer than planned. i'm sure i am the only one that has happen to. didn't really think about it as a tribut but if i could find a 1/35 firefighter figure i would probably change my mind.
